FAQ section Q: My players are very tired. What can I do? A: There are at least two ways to rest your players. One is to set training to leisure or at least lower as immense to ease the impact of tiredness. Another way is to rest player on matches, remeber that only starting five receive tiredness in a match. Q: When I set up the tactics there is a player who is not even part of my team!? A: This is your coach. Q: Is it important to have a coach? A: From training point of view it's important to have a coach. Any kind of coach is better then no coach. Q: There are not many coaches on the market, what can I do? A: Wait for a while, new coaches are added to market all the time. Q: What kind of coach should I buy? A: If you want to focus on training then coach with with a decent work rate is recommended. On the other hand experience can be important when in matches, especially when it comes to the question how well your players convert free throws. Q: Why is my friendly match arranged for 2 months ahead? A: In 1st part of Basketsim season there are two league matches per week, in second part of the season there is one league match per week and one cup or friendly match per week. Q: If my players have a high star rating, does this mean that I will always win against opponents with lower star rating? A: Not necessary! Star rating can be tricky, because every aspect of the player's quality is equally represented. For example, if player has good ability to make steals but is bad at field shooting, both will have the same impact on his star rating. But he will only make a few steals and will much more frequently shoot during the game. So it can be crucial to give players appropriate tactical orders to get the best out of them. Q: Why is star rating for a player not the same in every match? A: Star rating is influenced by tiredness and also quality of opposing players. If your players are tired or opponents are very good defensive players it's very likely that your players will see a drop in star rating. Q: Does the star rating always remain the same? A: Star rating can improve as players progress. But it can also depend on whether a player had a good or a bad day and on quality of opponent's player on the same position. Q: Is there a neccesary relation between star rating and a player's statistics? A: There is no neccesary relation: you should always observe both in order to understand how capable your players are. Q: It's a start of the season and my players have lower Evaluated value then before. Why is this so? A: This is because of player's aging. EV is very much age-related value. Q: Are tactics important in Basketsim? A: Tactics are important! When you play against a team, that seems to be of a lower quality than yours, you should try to use the qualities of your team to their fullest by using the appropriate tactical orders. Q: How do substitutions work? A: When one of the starting players is fouled out (or injured) he is replaced with the most suitable player from the bench. Q: Which players get training? A: A player must play in the starting team at least once per week to get training. If he plays twice he will not get extra training, but will train according to the last position played. Q: My player is old, when will he retire? A: Players don't retire until they are part of any club. Clubless players can retire at any time, but better players have tendancy not to retire, even if they are free agents at the time. Q: My arena or medical center should be upgraded today, but after the midnight update still haven't occur. Why? A: Daily update is done when day is over, two hours after midnight, between 2AM and 3AM server time! Q: Can I send private messages to other users for advertising purposes (election campaing, players for sale etc.)? A: No! Spamming is not allowed. It's annoying other users and if you are found to spam the mailboxes, leagueboards or forums you will face the fine or in worst cases - account deletion. Q: Can I have more then 1 club? A: No! Owning or controling or even occasionally controling more then one account is forbidden. Each manager must only control own team. Q: Can someone play from the same computer as I do? Can my brother play? A: Yes, but you must not sell any players to each other! And each must only control own account! Q: Can I sell my player to my friend, he will pay the price according to player's EV? A: No, this would be the same as cheating. Prearranged transfers with friends are not allowed, just put your player on the market and if he's worth it, someone unrelated will surely buy him. Q: Can I send an administrator a private message? A: If you have game related trouble or you would like to report a case of cheating or you just need to contact gamemasters, use this form. Q: Can I change the look of Basketsim? A: Yes! There are several skins available and you can set your favorite one in your profile! Q: Names and surnames for my country don't seem right. Many players have names untypical for my country. A: If this is the case please contact us at basketsim@basketsim.com and we will look into the problem. It's always possible to improve list of names for future use. Q: There is some kind of bug or an error on the page!? A: If you notice a bug send message to the gamemasters form or to basketsim@basketsim.com and it will be examined as soon as possible! Q: I would like this site to be translated into my language. What can I do? A: If your language is not amongst the available languages and you are willing to help, send a short notice to basketsim@basketsim.com and you will be given the instructions. |
